First up, we enjoyed our annual big breakfast buffet. A few things are perennial ... omelet stations, waffle stations, an awesome presentation of fresh fruit ... but the remainder of the extensive presentation varies day by day. In addition to the required assortment of local dishes, there are nooks aimed at British tastes, European breakfast preferences, Asian travelers, and even ketchup for the gringos. REALLY good pastries and an interesting assortment of other dessert "tastes." Cut-your-own-slice loaves of very fresh bread ... there's never a need for lunch. Not REALLY a need to take any of the predictable stuff like an omelet, when you could have a nice slice of pork tenderloin in pink peppercorn sauce and some Asian-glazed ribs!

We spent some time further exploring the grounds; there are literally miles of plank walkways meandering through the lush plantings. MOST of them do go SOMEWHERE, others just ramble off into quiet green space before returning to a more-traveled path. New this year: mile markers for runners who want to know how far they've trotted. The view above is from our balcony; below us they're constructing a par-3 course for those who don't want to challenge Jack Nicklaus or Greg Norman. Seems like every hole is a water hole, though, so it won't be for the timid.
The afternoon was lazy, as it should have been. We already had the pulled pork prepared for dinner, and there are always avocados to keep up with.
More truffles, and sweet dreams!
